Earth 2 Lucy Lane

Lucy Lane became a soldier in the World Army like her father.  So where has she been all this time?  maybe she was in a comma following an attack by Darkseid and is brought out of this by Ylzkz the Thunderbolt.  But she may not be the same, maybe Lucy’s mind is still dormant and her body is now a vessel of the Thunderbolt. 

Or maybe she volunteered for a super soldier program that kept her alive frozen all these years.  (Maybe the experiment was trying to harness the Thunder.)

Lucy Lane is the younger sister of Lois Lane, and her father was General Lane of the World Army. Like her father she pursued a career in the World Army. She quickly was promoted several times, like her father and her sister Lois she had an unstoppable spirit.  Until the day her sister seemingly died in the first wave of the Apocalypse invasion that killed Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.  Maybe she had given up, was just unlucky, or more likely was just unable to stop it, but during a raid on enemy base camp said to be using Apocalyptian weapons her team stumbled on a secret hive of Parademons, they attacked and killed most of her team.  Only she and four others made it out.  Since that day she had been in a comma, unresponsive.  She had no knowledge of Solomon Grundy, the death of her father, or the resurrection of her sister as a robot.  Or of the second wave of the Apocalypse Invasion, how Steppenwolf amassed an army and sent three Apocalypse monsters after the World Army.  The clone of Superman, any of it.  But when she could Lois would visit her bedside.  Lois was dead while Lucy went into a comma. 

Then something happened, or more accurately something was about to happen that forced this to be necessary.  A being from the 5^th Dimension named Ylzkz  the Thunderbolt made its way into Earth 2’s dimension.  But it needed a vessel. Possibly guided there by all the magic energy in the area, Lois, Flash, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, etc, and it found Lucy.  Her body was alive but her mind was dormant.  Lucy came back to life in an explosion of lightning.  Lois and the others saw the commotion and rushed to the hospital and found Lucy awake and walking around.  But this wasn’t Lucy.  The being inside of Lucy told the Society of the coming danger making its way to them.  A darkness that was once known as Ian Karkull.  Once mortal he was transformed into darkness and now seems to be growing and growing, taking control of others , an ancient evil growing like an oil spill.  (He is like an Earth 2 version of Eclipso.)  Now Karkull was on its way here.  Lucy’s body told them everything it could, but it wasn’t just there to leave a message, it was there permanently.  It could not go back or leave Lucy’s body, (like the Fred character on Angel) Lucy was gone, replaced by this new creature of power.

This of coarse leads to a large fight between Lois/Red Tornado and Lucy/Ylzkz .  The weather becomes dark and stormy, with winds, rain, lightning, thunder, and destruction.  The Society stops Lois, or saves Lucy/Ylzkz from being killed.  But there is always a hostility between Lois and the thing that took over Lucy’s body.  Every time Lois looks at Lucy she sees a being who looks like her sister but doesn't talk like her, walk like her, have her personality, or any of her mannerisms.  But Lucy wasn't dead so there is always a chance...

Because of Ylzkz entering her body her skin got scarred up and her hair became singed and white. And because of the constant energy of Ylzkz it looks sort of shocked too.
